hcitool scan cant detect my phone

hcitool scan cant detect my phone

my phone cant detect the system,also my system cant detect my phone.

iam trying these..............
root@localhost etc# sdptool search DUN
Inquiring ...
Inquiry failed

root@localhost etc# hcitool scan
Scanning ...
Inquiry failed: Connection timed out

->in my desktop it shows thee bluetooth icon.
-># /etc/init.d/bluetooth start
bluetooth started (no error)
-># hciconfig
hci0: Type: USB
BD Address: 08:00:17:1B:42:96 ACL MTU: 339:4 SCO MTU: 60:9
UP RUNNING
RX bytes:5603 acl:177 sco:0 events:209 errors:0
TX bytes:40682 acl:270 sco:0 commands:30 errors:0

some of my friends note it,try to config DUN first,
->how to config DUN
i just try "sdptool add" ,its give DUN registerd

pls help me to config bluetooth connection for internet
