Possible Script?

I would like to make a short script to do the following:

Copy file {loginscreen.bmp} to c:windows

Then I would like it to modify the registry String Value at the following spot:

HKEY_USERSDEFAULTControl PanelDesktopWallpaper

c:windowsloginscreen.bmp (what I want to put in)

Is this possible or am I wasting my time? Thanks!
